Sarah Hinton Hilton, 86, of Bay City passed away April 25, 2019. She was born March 9, 1933 in Bay City, TX to the late D. B. "Jack" Hinton and Helen Marie Parker Hinton.
She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Bay City and volunteered many years with the Pink Ladies Auxiliary.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband William Mitchell Hilton, her brother David Parker Hinton and her nephew David Boyd Hinton II.
Survivors include her sister Lula Mae Hinton; nieces Shelley Hinton Collins & her husband Stephen and Sarah Lu Hinton; nephews Craig Parker Hinton & his wife Jeannie and Alan Lee "Spot" Hinton; great nieces and nephews Lauren Hinton Taylor & her husband Porter, Allison Kate Hinton, Julie Collins Donald & her husband Adam, Andrew Edward Collins, Will Parker Collins, Grant Stephen Collins and Stacie Lee Herring; 2 great-great nieces and 2 great-great nephews. She also leaves her friend and caregiver Ruby Batchelar and her long-time friend and neighbor Pearl Zemanek.
The family will receive friends and relatives from 12 Noon until 1PM Saturday at Taylor Bros. Funeral Home. Graveside service will be 2:00PM Saturday, April 27, 2019 at Cedarvale Cemetery with Rev. Chester Sassman officiating.
Sarah's family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to Elmcroft of Wharton Staff, Roxanne, Cynthia, and special thanks to Veniese, for the compassionate care she was given. Thank you also to the Doctors, Nurses and Staff of El Campo Regional Hospital and Houston Hospice-El Campo for their kindness and care.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to First Presbyterian Church Memorial Fund.
