Sarah K. Osborne Hayes, 82, of Bay City passed away Feb. 3, 2010. She was born Dec. 18, 1927 in Turkey Scratch, Tennessee to the late William Pinkney & Laura Della Roach Lloyd. She retired as Cafeteria Manager for BCISD after 27 years and formerly worked as an operator for Southwestern Bell for many years. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church; lifetime member of Ladies Auxiliary VFW Post 2438; member of Woodmen of the World since 1964; and member of Local & State Chapter of AARP.
She loved to play Skip-Bo and Chicken Foot with all of her friends.

Survivors include daughter Nancy K. McMullen & husband Phil of New Waverly, TX; sons Frank "Skipper" Osborne & wife Diana of Bay City and Terry L. Osborne & wife Jeanne of West Columbia; sister Robbie Van Ness of Longview; grandchildren Brandon Osborne, Stacey Richards & husband Jess, Darrell Osborne, Jamie Morris & husband Marcus; great grandchildren Drake Richards, Carter Richards & Emily Sarah Osborne.

The family will receive friends and relatives from 6pm to 8pm Friday at the funeral home. Funeral service will be 10:00 AM Saturday, Feb. 6, 2010 at Calvary Baptist Church with Rev. Chester Sassman officiating. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park in Van Vleck. Pallbearers will be Brandon & Darrell Osborne, Doug Lloyd, Billy Joe Van Ness, and Wayne & Bobby Head. Jimmy Hayes will serve as honorary pallbearer. Memorials may be made to American Diabetes Association or the Ladies Auxiliary of VFW Post 2438 in Bay City.
