Sandra (Sandy) Y. Hoffman, 68 of Sargent, went home to be with the Lord on March 7th, 2012 after a brief illness. Sandy was born in Lynchburg, Virginia and spent most of her young life there. She met the love of her life, John L. Hoffman, while working at the officer's club at Fort Belvoir Virginia. John and Sandy went on to wed and had two children that she cherished, Lisa and John. Sandy's fondest memory was raising her children and then enjoying time with her grandchildren. Sandy had a special gift of taking care of people usually through her cooking. No one left the Hoffman house hungry. Sandy spent her final years on earth celebrating Christ with her Church buddies at Calvary Church in Sargent. Sandy's sweet smile and demeanor will be missed by many on earth but is now being celebrated in Heaven.

Sandy is survived by her daughter, Lisa J. Hoffman of Sargent, son John P. Hoffman and wife Wendy of Bay City, and three grandchildren, Carissa Hoffman, Kaley Hoffman, and Lesley Hoffman. Sandy was preceded in death by her husband John Leslie Hoffman.
The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. at Taylor Bros. Funeral Home on Friday, March 9th. Funeral service will be 2PM Saturday, March 10th at Taylor Bros. Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park in Van Vleck.
Pallbearers are Mike Cortinas, James Cortinas, Bryan Barrington, Tyler Mardis, Chris Williams, and Link Anderson. Honorary Pallbearers are Jim Bob Taylor, Buddy Simmons, George Sosa, Bobby (Rock) Lynch, and Rod Wilson.
