Samuel John Hagaman, 88, of Bay City passed away August 3, 2013. He was born December 24, 1924 in Bay City, TX to the late Oyer Robert Hagaman and Mary McPeak Hagaman. Sam was a lifelong member of Holy Cross Catholic Church, retired from Stark in West Columbia after 35 years and was a member of Pipefitters Local 211 Union for 65 years.

He was preceded in death by an infant daughter Delores Hagaman brothers Leo, Lawrence, Louis, & O. R. and sisters Dorothy, Ruth & Sunshine. Survivors include his wife of 61 years Alice Hagaman; daughter Margaret Sherrill & husband Alan of Bay City; sons Louis Rogers Hagaman of Round Rock and Daniel Oyer Hagaman & wife Sharon of Lake Jackson; grandchildren Samantha Sherrill Marshall & husband Chad of Madisonville, LA, Todd Alan Sherrill & wife Misty of Needville, Heather Hagaman & Philip Hagaman of Grand Forks, ND and great grandchildren Mackenzie & Kyle Marshall and Addyson, Brayden & Cassidy Sherrill.

The family will receive friends and relatives from 4PM until 6PM Tuesday with a rosary beginning at 6:30 PM Tuesday at Taylor Bros. Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be 10:00 AM Wednesday, August 7, 2013 at Holy Cross Catholic Church with Rev. Greg Korenek officiating with a special eulogy by his nephew Dr. Lee Polk. Interment will follow at Cedarvale Cemetery in Bay City. Pallbearers will be Tony Kucera, Billy Owens, Dickie Kovar, Bryan Hill, Philip Hagaman, Todd Sherrill & Chad Marshall.
