Sadie H. Dunnavant went peacefully to her eternal home on October 5, 2021.  She was born April 8, 1926 in Simpson County, Mississippi to the late Parker Harrington and Mamie Bright Harrington.

She married Ed E. Dunnavant on May 23, 1946.  She was a faithful member of the First Baptist Church of Sweeny.  She loved her church family and the ladies at the Senior Center.

She was preceded in death by her husband, son Charles Dunnavant and grandson Andy Dunnavant.

Survivors include sons Steve Dunnavant of Abilene, Bobby Dunnavant (Debbie) of Leesville, LA and Jerry Dunnavant (Michelle) of Sweeny; daughters Pat Hargett (Randy) of Sweeny and Ann Dunnavant of Lake Jackson; grandchildren Chad Dunnavant of Vancouver, WA, Collete Ramsdell of Vancouver, WA, Mary Kohlepp of Colorado Springs, CO and Randy Hargett, Jr. of Brazoria; 5 great grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.

Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM Thursday, October 7, 2021 at the First Baptist Church in Sweeny.  Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM, with Rev. Jerl Watkins and Rev. John Price officiating.  Interment will follow at the Sweeny Cemetery. Pallbearers are Tommy Zajicek, Randy Smith, Ricky Reid, Daniel Davis, David Matthews and John Kennedy.  Honorary pallbearer is Milton Joice.
