Rutha Mae Carpenter, 96, of Bay City passed away August 14, 2018. She was born June 27, 1922 in Ravenna, TX to the late Ester Hosea King and Donnie Lee Padgett King.

She was preceded in death by her husband Ira Arthur Carpenter; grandson Trey Brown, and great-grandson Gowen Robles.

She is survived by her daughter Mary Brown and husband Willis of Port Lavaca; sons Ira Carpenter and wife Sheila of Hewitt, TX and Franky Carpenter and wife Patricia of Markham; grandchildren Trisha Glenn, Denise Carpenter, Shane Carpenter, Alicia Carpenter, Eric Carpenter, Lara Carpenter, Wesley Carpenter and Timothy Carpenter; numerous great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

Graveside services will be 10:00 AM Saturday, August 18, 2018 at the Palacios Cemetery with Angela Cunningham officiating.
