Russell Ludwick Schneider, 57, of Palacios, TX passed away February 21, 2016. He was born March 15, 1958 in Palacios, TX to Robert Schneider, Sr. and Margaret Jakubec Schneider.

His father, Robert Schneider, Sr. and father-in-law, Thomas Roberts of Port Lavaca, preceded him in death. He is survived by the love of his life, his wife of 25 years, Jan Roberts Schneider, mother Margie Schneider of Palacios, daughter Brandi Crews (Charlie) of Branford, FL, sons James "Rusty" (Dusty) Schneider of Morriston, FL, Tommy McIntosh III of Leaky and Russell (Brandi) McIntosh of Ganado. His grandchildren Dakota Schneider, Kadie Crews, Sara and Kinli McIntosh and Mason and Caleb Schneider were his pride and joy. Other survivors include his brothers Robert "Tiger" (Faye) Schneider of Palacios, Randy (Teresa) Schneider of Victoria, Ray (Darlene) Schneider of Bay City and Ronnie (Kelly) Schneider of Palacios, mother-in-law Ima Roberts of Port Lavaca, sisters-in-law Jeannie (Ricky) Brasuell of Ganado, Judy (James) Collier of Needville and Sandy (Tom) Crenshaw of Port Lavaca, brother-in-law Randy (Sherry) Roberts, and many loving aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

Russell was a hard working (usually too hard working), tell it like it is, 100% country, family loving man who would do anything for anyone. He loved hunting, gardening and had a green thumb, always trying to see just how big he could make his garden. He was a good man, friend, and husband.

A memorial service honoring his life will be 10:00 AM Thursday, February 25, 2016 at the Palacios Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Shan Jackson officiating.
