Russell Craig Lloyd, 56, of Matagorda passed on to happier days with our Lord Jesus Christ on January 8, 2008. He was born March 19, 1951 in Corpus Christi, Texas to the late Ruth Day and Ray Lloyd.

Russell preceeds his loving wife Peggy of Matagorda; son Jason Lloyd; daughter Sharon Green and three grandchildren all of Austin; two stepsons Ryan Holley of Corpus Christi & Lance Holley of Wahiawa, HI; two step-grandchildren; sister Linda Stoll of Corpus Christi; brothers Terry Lloyd of Corpus Christi, Randy Lloyd of Jersey Village & Marshall Lloyd of San Antonio and a multitude of friends & loved ones on his new journey. "If I can help somebody as I pass along, if I can cheer somebody with a word or a song, if I can show somebody is traveling wrong, then my living shall not be in vain. If I can spread God's message as I ought, then my living has not been in Vain." We will miss you!

Friends and relatives may call at the funeral home for viewing from 1PM to 9PM Friday. A memorial service will be 1:00 PM Saturday, January 12, 2008 at the First Baptist Church in Matagorda with Rev. Richard Lewis officiating. Private interment will follow at a later date. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
