Rush Russel Hubbard, 93, of Van Vleck, passed away Friday, February 8, 2008 in Bay City. He was born July 7, 1914 in Sweeny, TX to Rush Martin Hubbard and Edna Savila Tomlinson Hubbard. He was a member of the Millwrights Local Union # 2232, and a member of the First Baptist Church of Rosharon, TX.

He is survived by his daughter: Audrey Lovett of Van Vleck; his step-daughter: Janet Folmar of Houston; sons: Jimmy Hubbard & wife Myrna of Van Vleck, Gordon Hubbard & wife Barbara of Hasema, Timmy Hubbard & wife Beverly of Van Vleck, and Jerry Hubbard and wife Holly of Houston; step-son: Ronnie Holman of Conroe; his sister-in-law: Julia Hubbard of Sweeny; and by 13 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two wives: Georgia Truitt Hubbard and Bernice Hubbard; his parents: Rush Martin and Edna Savila Hubbard; and by his sisters and brothers.

The family will receive visitors at the funeral home from 5 PM to 7 PM Sunday, February 10, 2008. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Monday, February 11, 2008 at Taylor Bros. Funeral Home Chapel. His grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
