Ruben I. Ramirez, Sr., 74, of Palacios, TX, passed away Sunday, November 28, 2010 in Bay City, TX. He was born March 15, 1936 in Hebbronville, TX to Juan Lino Ramirez Sr. and Viola Trevino Ramirez. He was a resident of Matagorda County since 1982, the owner of TPO Express store and a member of the Catholic Church.

He is survived by his son: Ruben Ibo Ramirez, Jr.; his daughters: Lori Crawford and Cheryl Brauner and her husband, Lonnie; by step sons: Robert DeWoody and his wife Patty, and Danny DeWoody; his sister: Gloria Diana Gomez; a brother: Juan Lino Ramirez, Jr.; by 15 grandchildren, including: Rochell Ramirez, Ruben I. Ramirez, III, Thomas James Carson, III, Pascale Crawford, Patrick Crawford, Amber Rosson, Zackary James Rosson and Erik Edward Brauner; and by 2 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and by a brother: Alonzo C. Ramirez.

The family will receive visitors from 5 PM to 7 PM Wednesday at the funeral home. The Rosary will be held at 7:00 PM Wednesday, December 1, 2010 at the Palacios Funeral Home.

A Rosary will also be held at 7:00 PM Friday, December 3, 2010 at Funeraria Del Angel Howard-Williams Funeral Home in Hebbronville, TX. The Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, December 4, 2010 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Hebbronville, TX. Interment will immediately follow at New Hebbronville Cemetery, Hebbronville, TX.
