Ruben Garcia, 40, of Houston passed away May 21, 2022.  He was born October 12, 1981 in Bay City to Raymond Garcia, Jr. and Angelita Escobar Garcia.

Ruben was a proud graduate of the University of Houston where he obtained a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration-Accounting.  He worked for the Internal Revenue Service for more than 16 years and most recently worked as a Tax Senior for LegalZoom.com.  In his free time he loved to travel, attend Broadway musicals and torment his miniature poodle, Hamilton.

He was preceded in death by his father, Raymond Garcia, Jr.  Survivors include his spouse Bobby T. Witcher; mother Angelita Escobar Garcia; sister Estella Garcia Veliz; brother Raymond Garcia; mother-in-law Carolyn S. Reed, brothers-in-law Victor B. Witcher, Kevin L. Witcher, Gregory D. Witcher and Joseph L. Witcher and nephews and niece Robert Andrew Gutierrez, Cheyenne Trull Dickinson (Blake) and Cristian "Gage" Trull.

A rosary will be recited at 1:30 PM, Thursday, May 26, 2022 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church followed by Funeral Mass at 2:00 PM with Rev. Gabriel Espinosa officiating.  Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park in Van Vleck.  Pallbearers will be Michael Barron, David McMillan, Marshall Montalvo, Anastacio Garay, Wesley Escobar Wally Escobar, Sr. and Ruben Juarez. Honorary pallbearer is Sonny Woodley.
