Obituary
Roy Lee Jones, 65, of Wharton passed away October 30, 2007. He was born August 12, 1942 in Bay City, Texas to the late George Thomas and Gladys Ocie Scott Jones.
Survivors include daughter Beverly Miller of El Campo; son Steve Jones of Wharton; niece Nancy Klaiber and husband Edwin of Sweeny; nephews Mike Gassen, Sr. and wife Linda of Brazoria and Larry Gassen, Sr. & wife Regina of Resaca, GA and two grandchildren Dana and Jarret Jones. He was preceded in death by his sister Eva Gassen Hancock and brotherl Fred Edward Jones.
The family will receive friends and relatives from 6PM to 8PM Thursday at the funeral home. Funeral service will be 2:00 PM Friday, November 2, 2007 at Taylor Bros. Funeral Home with Rev. Rick Dubroc officiating. Interment will follow at a later date. Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
