IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Roy Dean
Evans
October 24, 1956 – June 10, 2023
On June 10, 2023, Roy Dean Evans finished his journey here on Earth and entered the gates of Heaven. Roy was born October 24, 1956 in Bay City, Texas and lived his entire life here.
He was a Millwright out of Houston Local 2232 for 25 years. His passion was fishing and hunting. There were many days he was on the bank of the Colorado River, instead of working! He truly loved the outdoors. Roy was always up for grilling and telling stories with his family and friends, whom he loved very much.
Roy was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Billie Evans and sister Sandra Rickaway. Survivors include his son Roy "Dean" Evans, Jr.; grandchildren: Alex Johnson and Jordan Johnson; sisters Carol Wolf (Kevin) and Pam Calk; uncle Lamar Evans; nieces and nephews Gregory Rickaway (Amanda), W. T. Calk, Amanda Calk, Theresa Puccetti and Gerald Puccetti; a very special cousin Ernie Geffert, who was like a brother to him, and numerous great nieces, great nephews and cousins.
Our gratitude goes out to the staff and nurses with Hospice Care Team, Texas City, TX and Dr. Jorge Darcourt and staff at Texas Oncology-Sugar Land.
Graveside services will be at 10:30 AM Friday, June 16, 2023 at Roselawn Memorial Park. Everyone, please dress casually.
