Roy Clifton Craft, 96, of Bay City passed away January 19, 2026. He was born February 26, 1929 in Iowa Park, Texas to the late Jesse Irvin Craft and Josephine Beatrice Fulcher Craft.

Roy served in the Army as a surgical technician in the first MASH unit during the Korean War. He was active in the Bay City Lions Club International. He was previously active in the First Methodist Church of Bay City Choir and the Bay City Coastalaires. He was a member of the American Health Physics Society.

He was employed by DuPont and the South Texas Project, before consulting in Health Physics before his retirement.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sons William Paul Craft, John David Craft, and Jesse Irvin Craft II.

Survivors include his wife Alta Mae Brock Craft; daughters Judy Kay Craft (David Huffman) and Patti Aline Craft; son Stephen Roy Craft (Louanne); daughter-in-law Cindy Rutledge; grandchildren Benjamin Franklin Craft-Rendon, Susan Beatrice Craft-Rendon, Jesse Irvin Craft III, David Alan Craft, Alexander Stephen Craft and Meghan Elizabeth Craft and great grandchildren Titus Craft, Luke Craft, Elliott Craft and Lucy Craft.

A memorial service celebrating his life will be held Saturday, January 24, 2026 at 12:00 PM, at the First Methodist Church in Bay City.
