Rosie Deborah Murphy, 83, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, friend, and employee of a dental office.
Rosie was born on December 22, 1932in Elkhart, Indiana to the late John Richard Teusher and Herta Jhanna Lange Teusher. She married Donald Clay Murphy on July 2, 1949, and they moved to Texasin 1954. Rosie was a member of First Baptist Church, loved to sew, crafting, decorating, and shopping.
Preceding her in death were her parents, John and Herta Teusher and her husband Donald.
She leaves behind her devoted daughters; Debra Kay and husband C. Pat Davis of Conroe, Texas and Vicki Lynn and husband Douglas Paul Matthes of Bay City, Texas, grandchildren; Shelly and Bink Grimes, Jeff and Lori Herrington, Kristy and Jason Salas, Jill Herrington, and Taylor and Kimberly Matthes, great-grandchildren; Lillian, Eliana and Josiah Herrington, Mallory Grimes, Wyatt Salas, and Luke and Noah Matthes, sisters; Susan and husband Larry Miller of Tennessee and Heidi and husband John Paston of Indiana, and her beloved dog, Tootsie.
The family extends special thanks to the staff at the Legacy Assisted Living, IPH Hospice, her doctors and wonderful nurses for making her final days so peaceful.
A service celebrating her life will be on Saturday, August 6 at 2:00 PM at First Baptist Church with Dr. Michael Zimmerman officiating. Interment will follow at Cedarvale Cemetery. Pall Bearers will be Taylor Matthes, Bink Grimes, Jason Salas, Matthew Dodd, Travis Dodd, and Garrett Dodd. Honorary pallbearers will be Jeffrey Herrington, Dr. Robert Kelly, and Dr. Crayden Dennard.
Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church scholarship or benevolence fund.
