Rosalio Trevino, 90, of Matagorda passed away July 30, 2013. He was born August 30, 1922 in Mercedes, Texas to the late Macedonio Trevino and Guillerma Martinez Trevino. As a young man in his 20's he worked at local supermarket delivering groceries. He then started working on small farms as a farm hand he continued that line of work after moving to Matagorda County until going to work for Precinct 2 for Matagorda County. During his time with Matagorda County, he would work along side three of his sons. He retired from there at the age of 62.

Survivors include his wife of 69 years Maria Lopez Trevino; children Manuel Trevino, Macedonia Trevino, Rosa Benefield, Benito Trevino, Irenio Trevino, Esteban Trevino, Alisia Herrera and Anita Lentz; sister Juanita Garcia; 17 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren and 1 great –great grandchild.

The family will receive friends and relatives from 5pm until 7pm Friday at the funeral home. Funeral service will be 10:00 AM Saturday, August 3, 2013 at Community Baptist Church with Rev. Mitch Sauls officiating. Interment will follow at Matagorda Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Irenio Trevino, Macedonia Trevino, Eddie Herrera, David Trevino, Rudy Garcia and Gene Lentz. Benito Trevino and Ricardo Pena will serve as honorary pallbearers.
