Rosa Garcia Perez, 78, of Markham passed away August 23, 2025.  She was born April 8, 1947, in Mercedes, Texas to the late Luis Garcia and Concepcion Aneiso Garcia.

Rosa had a gift for making everyone feel seen and loved. She found joy in decorating for weddings and quinceañeras, always bringing smiles to those around her. Her hobbies included creating beautiful flower arrangements in honor of her loved ones, and her greatest happiness came from spending time with her children, grandchildren, and especially her great-grandchildren. Rosa was the best Mom, Momo, Sister, and Aunt—one who will be deeply missed.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Pedro "Pete" L. Perez; sisters, Benita Tovar and Lionijes Longoria; and brothers, Joe Luis Garcia, Daniel Garcia and Guadalupe Garcia.

Survivors include daughter, Dolores G. Perez (Jimmy); son, Pedro Ponciano Perez (Barbara); sisters, Stella Ramirez and Maria A. Woods (George); grandchildren, Gabrielle Ramirez (Jarad), Jerrad Patina, Tiffany Henderson (Colby), Nathan Patina (Renee), Victoria Perez (Jesse), Justin Patina (Karina), Ponciano Perez, Jr.; and great grandchildren, Kayleigh, Zachary, Zane, Nathan, Brielle, Avery, Kamryn, Peyton, Evelynn, Maribell, Olivia, Christiano, Liam, Leo and Lennon.

Visitation will begin at 9:00 AM Thursday, August 28, 2025, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. A rosary will be recited at 9:30 AM followed by Funeral Mass at 10:00 AM with Rev. Gabriel Espinosa officiating. Pallbearers will be Jarad Ramirez, Jerrad Patina, Nathan Patina, Justin Patina, Pedro Ponciano Perez, Jr. and Zane Ramirez.  Jesse Perez and Colby Henderson will serve as honorary pallbearers.
