Ronald Vincent Hutson peacefully departed from this life, surrounded by family on June 13, 2014. He was born on March 5, 1964 in Bay City, Texas to William and Betsy Fojtik Hutson. He grew up in Old Ocean and Sweeny with four older siblings. Ronald graduated from Sweeny High School in 1982 and he went on to TSTC technical school for a year. Ronald worked various jobs including the Phillips 66 station owned by his dad, pipefitter and a roofer until his motorcycle accident in 1991. He enjoyed hunting with his dad and brothers, surfing, playing dominos, being with family and friends, playing with babies (especially nieces and nephews), UT football and the Dallas Cowboys.
Ronald is preceded in death by his father William Hutson. He is survived by his mother, Betsy Hutson of Sweeny; brothers, Gordon Hutson of Houston and Audie (Donna) Hutson of Needville; sisters, Libby Wilkins-Rivas of Pearland and Stacey (Jim) Haning of Bay City; nieces, Michelle Wilkins Hammack, Kimberly Wilkins Trammel, Sabrina Wilkins-Rivas, Kasandra Hutson Sequeira, Haley Hutson, Heather Hutson, Katie Haning Kalpakis, Jacquelyn Haning Markham, Jessica Haning; nephews: Jeremy Hutson and William Haning; 8 great-nieces, 5 great-nephews, and a multitude of friends, cousins and extended family members.
Viewing will be at Taylor Brothers Funeral Home in Bay City beginning at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 17, 2014, with a Rosary at 6:30. Ronald's funeral mass will be in Sweeny at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic church on Wednesday, June 18, 2014 at 10:00. Interment will follow mass at Roselawn Memorial Park in Van Vleck. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Houston Hospice, 1905 Holcombe, Houston, TX 77030.
Serving as pallbearers are Monty Boyd, Hunter Winkelmann, Lance Rayburn, Cade Hutson, Larry Dye, Clay Orr, Dennis Smith, Gilbert Salazar. Honorary pallbearers are Ray Polensky, Louis John Fojtik, Michael Fojtik, Robert Fojtik.
