Romula B. Flores (Romie), 73, of Bay City, Texas, passed away December 24, 2024, surrounded by family. She was born August 2, 1951, in San Juan, Texas to Raul Barrera and Fermina Pena Barrera.

Romie met her husband of 53 yrs. Refugio Flores, Jr, in 1971 and together they had 4 children. She was known to be a child of God, and her faith was important to her. She loved to spend time with her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and brothers, Joe and Arnold Barrera. She is survived by her loving husband, Refugio Flores, Jr.; daughters, Mary Biggerstaff (Chris), Lorie Bruening (Wesley), Michelle Avants (Scott); son, Jeffery Flores (Barbara); grandchildren, Courtney Hubbard (Dusty), Haley Flores (Seth), Amber Shannon, Christopher Avants (Jennifer), Nolon Shannon (Chloe), Ryan Biggerstaff (Kya), Cort Avants (Cadence), Aiden Flores, Britney Cartwright (Richard), Nicalas Biggerstaff (Ashley) Ashlyn Biggerstaff and Alec Nieto; great grandchildren, Lane and Oaklynn Hubbard, Naomi Dabelgott. Along with several more family members.

A Celebration of Life for Mrs. Flores will be held at a later date.
