Roger Eugene Bennett passed away January 5, 2021 in Bay City, TX. He was born December 27, 1931 in Ottumwa, Iowa to the late Fred and Freda Bennett.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by son Gregg Alan Bennett, brother Richard Bennett and niece Cindi Bennett.

He is survived by his wife Ernestine, son Roger Edwin Bennett, granddaughters Heather Bennett-Munoz and Renee Mitchell, great grandchildren Federico and Amber Munoz all of Bay City and Tannar and Bailey Mitchell of Lake Jackson, his beloved dot Lil Bit, sister-in-law Barbara Bennett and niece Tammi Christ of Ankenny, Iowa and nephew Rock Davis of Fairfield, Iowa.

He served in the US Army during the Korean War from 1951-1954. He resided in Augusta, Georgia before moving to Bay City where he worked at the Celanese Chemical Plant until retirement.

His greatest retirement enjoyment was the daily Coffee Club get-together at the donut shop.

Graveside services will be 11:00 AM Saturday, January 16, 2021 at Roselawn Memorial Park in Van Vleck with Dr. Mike Zimmerman officiating.
