Rodellin Fields Ingram, 71, of Kingwood, formerly of Bay City, entered into eternal rest on Jan. 12, 2008. She was born Feb. 17, 1936 in Hellier, Kentucky to the late Steven Albert & Roma Branham Fields. Mrs. Ingram was an educator for 41 years, teaching in BCISD for 31 of those years. She taught at Bay City Junior High, John Cherry Elementary, Linnie Roberts Elementary and was librarian at Pierce Elementary. Mrs. Ingram was a graduate of Sam Houston State University in 1971.
She was preceded in death by a sister Patsy Ruth Shields. Survivors include her husband of 52 years, Lawrence M. "Pete" Ingram; daughters Roma Ann & husband Jack Rusheon and Alicia Kay & husband Robert Reue all of Houston. She also has four grandchildren SSGT Michael Rusheon USAF, Jason Reue, Cole Reue & Paige Rusheon. She is also survived by brother-in-law Jackie C. Shields of Killeen, TX; sister-in-law Willa Dean Collins of Lead Hill, AR; cousin Susie Stein of South Carolina and 7 nieces and nephews. She will be missed by special friends Charles & Mary Painter of Columbia, TN.
While living in Bay City, she was a member of Epsilon Sigma Alpha, which supported community service projects, the Texas State Teachers Association, Bay City Book Revue, Bay City Retired Teachers and Rice Belt Sams RV Club.
The family will greet friends and relatives from 6PM – 8PM Tuesday at the funeral home. Funeral service will be 10:00 AM Wednesday, Jan. 16, 2008 at Taylor Bros. Funeral Home with Rev. Chester Sassman officiating. Entombment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park. SSGT Michael Rusheon, Jason Reue, Cole Reue, Jimmy Farmer, Ronnie O'Neal and Jimmy Kincaid will serve as pallbearers.
