Rocky Flewellen, 57, of Palacios, passed away peacefully and surrounded by his family Wednesday, April 8, 2015. He was born August 9, 1957 in Baytown, Texas to S.R. and LaVerne Bowers Flewellen.

Rocky worked as a machinist for many years in the Angleton area, also serving as a counselor at the Bay Area Recovery Center. For the past several years, he was able to fulfill his dream of settling down in Palacios. Rocky will be missed in many ways, but mostly for his kind and gentle spirit, his love for family, his laugh, and his sense of humor.

Rocky is preceded in death by his father; brother Stuart Flewellen, and step-father Carl King. He is survived by his mother LaVerne King; sons Rocky B. Flewellen, Joshua Flewellen and wife Christy; brother Bryan Flewellen and wife Melissa, and 3 grandchildren.

The family will receive visitors from 12 Noon until 2:00pm Saturday, April 11 at Palacios Funeral Home. The funeral service will immediately follow the visitation with C.W. Flewellen officiating.
