Robert Sandoval Torres, 76, of Blessing passed away January 24, 2023. He was born February19, 1946 in Palacios to the late Pablo Torres and Rosa Sandoval.

His career included Electrician for Dow Chemical; Dumas Seafood; Maintenance at Alcoa; Electrician for the 1st Expansion at Formosa Plastics and 15 years at Inteplast where he retired.

In 1970 he became a First Responder in Blessing was active in the Midfield and Blessing Volunteer Fire Departments and Former Chief at the Blessing VFD."Sir Robert Torres" was a 4th Degree Member of the Knights of Columbus.

He was preceded in death by his wife Josefina Torres in 2020. Survivors include children Roberta Weldon, Christie Pulido, Rebecca Rodriguez , Ricky Torres, Alvin Torres, Sandra Meekins, Maria Benavides, and Robert Torres, Jr. He had 15grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

A rosary will be recited at 9:30 AM Monday, January 30, 2023 at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Blessing. Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow at the Palacios Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Alvin Torres, Ricky Torres, Joseph Tilotta, Larry Weldon, Jasper Sandoval and Joe Adalco. Honorary pallbearers are Alfred Sandoval, Markus White and Christopher White.
