Obituary
Robert Wayne Steubing, 79, of Bay City, passed away Monday, January 25, 2010. He was born February 10, 1930 in Houston, TX to Thomas Lincoln "Red" Steubing and Doris Wilkinson Steubing. He was a1948 graduate of Bay City High School and attended the University of Texas. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Bay City, was employed with Lane Wells Oil Field Service Co. from 1951 to 1967 and then was an operator at Dow Chemical Co., retiring in 1993.
He was a life long resident of Bay City and his hobby was building Purple Martin birdhouses. He loved the outdoors and feeding the birds and squirrels.
He is survived by numerous cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and by a brother, Thomas Paul Steubing.
The family will be receiving visitors from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM Tuesday night at the funeral home. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, January 27, 2010 at Cedarvale Cemetery in Bay City with Rev. Michael Sydnor officiating.
