Robert Neeley, 91, of Jourdanton, Texas passed away December 24, 2023.  He was born March 10, 1932 in El Campo, Texas to the late Robert H. Neeley and Beaulah L. Neeley both from Palacios, Texas .

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Mary Evelyn Neeley in 2013; son Randy Wayne and brothers Melvin Neeley, Norris Neeley of Victoria, Texas and sister Evelyn Baker of El Campo, Texas

Survivors include sister Claira Kreuzer; brothers Jimmy Neeley and wife Mary Jo of Palacios, Donald Neeley and wife Pat of Missouri; daughters Sandra L. Neeley; Stacey L.  Dojahn and husband Dennis of Jourdanton; son David E. Neeley & wife Darlene of College Station; grandchildren David Brent Neeley, Timothy E. Neeley, Ray Rivas, Michael Ray Neeley and Derrick Neeley; 7 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Robert worked for Central Power & light (CPL) for 45 years serving most of that time as General Manager in many south Texas towns until finally being transferred to Pleasanton where he worked until Retirement in 1995. He had many jobs and hobbies after retirement but mostly he enjoyed going back to fish in his hometown of Palacios. He also enjoyed golfing as much as possible and being with family and friends.

The family will receive friends and relatives from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM Friday, December 29, 2023 at the Palacios Funeral Home.  Graveside services will be at 10:00 AM Saturday, December 30, 2023 at Hawley Cemetery in Blessing, Texas with Chris Webber officiating.

The family would like to praise and thank the staff at Argent Court Assisted Living in Jourdanton where he lived for more than 12 years.  Also we thank the many caregivers who all considered him as family and treated him with love and dignity.

Much thanks and praise to the members of Trinity Hospice of San Antonio. Robert came to love all these staff members and workers who allowed him to keep his independence for as long as possible and pass from this world in peace and comfort.
