Robert "Bobby" Schneider, 76, of Palacios passed away September 11, 2005 at Gulf Coast Medical Center in Wharton. He was born January 12, 1929 in Needville, TX to Robert and Valasta Baca Schneider. He had been a resident of Palacios for 53 years; member of the Alcoa 25 Year Club; member of Palacios Trail Riders Association; and a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean Conflict.

He is survived by: his wife, Margaret "Margie" Jakubec Schneider of Palacios; by five sons and four daughters-in-law: Robert "Tiger" Schneider, Jr. of Palacios, Randy and Teresa Schneider of Victoria, Russell and Jan Schneider of Palacios, Ray and Darlene Schneider of Bay City and Ronnie and Kelly Schneider of Palacios; by one sister, Madelline "Matsy" Schultz of Edna; and by 15 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Willie Mae Horlicia and Noni Stavinoha, and two brothers, Elo and Alvin Schneider.

Funeral service will be held at 10:00 am Wednesday, September 14, 2005 at the Palacios Funeral Home Chapel. Graveside service will be held at 3:00 PM at the Guy Public Cemetery in Guy, TX.
