Robert Lee Hutson, 88, of Van Vleck, passed away Saturday, May 9, 2009 in Bay City. He was born May 29, 1920 in Clarendon, TX to John Lawrence Hutson and Ida Bailey Hutson. He was a resident of Van Vleck since 1961, was a member of the First Baptist Church of Van Vleck, and was a US Army Veteran.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Cleta Lorrein Hutson of Van Vleck; his sons: Jack Hutson & wife Katrina of Vanderbilt, John Hutson & wife Susie of Bay City, and Bret Hutson & wife Debbie of Van Vleck; by his grandchildren: Holly Rose, John Mark Hutson, Bryan Hutson, Stewart Hutson, Carrie Foltyn, Haydn Hutson and Hunter Hutson; and by his great grandchildren: Taegan Hutson and Wade Hutson.

The family will receive visitors from 6 PM to 8 PM Monday at the funeral home. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Tuesday, May 12, 2009 at Taylor Bros. Funeral Home with Pastor Jack Hutson officiating. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park in Van Vleck. Pallbearers will be Bryan Hutson, Stewart Hutson, John Mark Hutson, Haydn Hutson, Justin Foltyn and Michael Rose. Honorary pallbearer is Art Benavides.
