Robert "Bob" E. Cooke, 63, of Bay City, passed away Saturday, September 6, 2008. He was born October 17, 1944 in Stafford, TX to James E. Cooke and Josephine Packer Cooke. Bob was a resident of Bay City since 1973 and was a retired heavy equipment operator. He was a US Army veteran of the Vietnam Era and was a Life Member of V.F.W. Post 2438 in Bay City.

He is survived by his daughter: Amanda Cooke of Peoria, IL; his son: Eric Cooke of Bay City; a sister: Reba Koenig of Needville; and a grandson: Logan Robert Cooke of Peoria, IL. He was preceded in death by his parents: James E. and Josephine Cooke.

The family will receive visitors from 6 PM to 8 PM Tuesday, September 09, 2008 at the funeral home. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, September 10, 2008 at the Packer Family Cemetery, Packer Lane, Stafford, TX.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made his grandson's education fund in care of the family.
