January 20, 1932-June 16, 2025

On June 16, 2025, Robert M. Davant, Jr. of Chappell Hill, Texas passed peacefully to join with the Heavenly Father. He was predeceased by his beloved wife Frances Farrell Davant and his Daughter, Jessica Grimes Davant. He is survived by his son, Robert M. Davant, III and wife Shanan Davant, their two children, Robert M. Davant, IV and Gabriella Jessica Davant, as well as his step children, Cecily, Christine Suzanne, and his many step grandchildren.

He always lived life to the fullest with determination, grit, and grace. He was a Graduate of the University of Texas at Austin and the University of Houston Law School. Robert M. Davant, Jr. was a Veteran who served in the Korean War as a Naval Carrier Pilot on the USS Shangri-La. He was an avid aviator up until he was eighty-nine years old. He was a Cattleman, Oil & Gas Man, Entrepreneur, Business Owner, Lawyer, Intellectual, Historian, World Traveler and Lover of Life.

He will be remembered for the loving Father and Grandfather he was, and will be dearly missed by those who survive him. He is at peace and reunited with the many friends and family who went before him.  We love and miss you, and may the Lord God Bless and Keep You.

Graveside services will be at 3:00 PM Monday, June 23, 2025 at the Grimes Cemetery near Blessing, Texas.
