Robert "Bob" Tucker Biggs of Bay City was welcomed into the kingdom of heaven on his 96th birthday, February 17, 2016. He joins his faithful wife of 65 years, Kathryn "Casey" Biggs. On his second day in heaven the two were celebrating what would have been their 67th year of marriage.
Bob was born in Jackson, Mississippi on February 17, 1920 to Albert John and Evie Tucker Biggs.
He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He served his country five years as a pilot in the United States Army Air Force during World War II in Belgium and France. He also trained students as a flight instructor at Foster Field in Victoria.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife of 65 years Kathryn "Casey" Biggs, brother Albert John Biggs Jr., and son John Milton Biggs. He is survived by daughter Elizabeth "Debbie" (Mike) Coppock, grandsons Travis (Pamela) Coppock and Taylor Coppock, sisters Mary Ann Snyder and Helen (Malcolm) Waren, as well as many nieces & nephews.
Bob was a member of First United Methodist Church. After retirement, Bob and Casey enjoyed traveling around the United States and Canada. He also volunteered at the Bay City Public Library. In his spare time Bob loved building things in his workshop and attending Houston Astros and Texans games.
Funeral service will be held 2pm, Sunday, February 21, 2016 at First United Methodist Church in Bay City, with the Rev. Dr. Russ Munch officiating. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park in Van Vleck.
