Robbin Odom, 63, of Wadsworth, passed away Thursday, September 1, 2011 in the arms of his wife Betty. He was born June 28, 1948 in Bay City, TX to Robbins P. Odom and Marcelle Ryman Odom. He was a resident of Matagorda County since 1972 and was retired from the Texas Dept. of Highways and Public Transportation. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Bay City and was a veteran of the US Army during the Vietnam Era.

Robbin and Betty were married February 12, 1972 in Houston, TX. He leaves behind his wife of 39 ½ years; his loving daughters: Charlotte Allgaier & husband Michael Allgaier of Markham and Rebecca Odom & special friend Dustin Brown of Bay City; his parents: Robbins & Marcelle Odom of Bay City; 2 grandchildren: Cody and Carrie Allgaier whom he loved dearly; best friends Greg & Della Huddleston who are also his in-laws; and 4 nieces and 5 nephews. He was preceded in death by his sister, Barbara Odom Norton and his brother, Glenn W. "Skipper" Odom.

Visitation will begin at 2:00 PM Saturday at the funeral home. The family will receive friends and guest from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM Saturday at the funeral home.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, September 4, 2011 at Taylor Bros. Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Michael Zimmerman officiating. Interment will follow at Hawley Cemetery in Blessing, TX. Pallbearers will be Adam Cochran, Louie Etie, Duane Ryman, Sherman Teeler, Johnnie Parr, and Albert Bissett.
