ROBBIE ALINE CORNELIUS SEALE, was called to be at home with her loving Savior Jesus at 94 years of age on April 28, 2010. Robbie was born January 24, 1916 to Thomas Edward Cornelius and Nancy Esther Davis Cornelius in Midfield, Texas. In 1933 Robbie moved to the big city of Houston desiring to escape the hard farm life of her childhood. In Houston she met the man of her life, Emmett Davis Seale. Emmett was a city boy looking to marry a country girl and to escape the big city life. Married on December 30, 1938 they lived in the big city.
Her husband, Emmett, proudly served his country during World War II delaying the coming of their family yet, after the war the Lord blessed them with three children, Darrel Seale in 1947, a SBC missionary to the Philippines, Janis Wells in 1949, a physical therapist in Lake Jackson, Texas and Byron Seale in 1950, a director of a Christian Camp Ministry in Winchester, Texas. The Lord further blessed Robbie with 11 grand children and 9 great grand children.
Robbie was known for her tireless ministry to others through her home church ministries. Even at 94 years of age she leaves a big void among the body of Christ which many have willingly testified of her Christ centered service. Because of who she is in Christ Robbie's testimony can be seen not just heard. From her own writings titled, "YES, I AM PREPARED TO ANSWER ABOUT MY FAITH IN CHRIST" she writes: "THE HIGH LIGHT of my life was when I publicly accepted Jesus Christ as my Savior was baptized and NOW enjoy each day that HE gives me ..even though there have been a few BUMPS along the way, I can handle WHATEVER comes my way ..with HIS help Needless to say, I still strive daily to find HIS will for my life"(All emphases and punctuations are her's.")Having faithfully served Christ in a world fallen to sin her new home, laced with streets of gold, now shines bright with her standing in the loving presence of Christ Jesus her Lord.
The family will receive visitors from 5:30 PM to 8:00 PM Friday April 30, 2010 at the Park Place Baptist Church, 4101 Broadway, Houston, TX 77087.
