Robbie Dee Long, formerly of Bay City, Texas, passed away on March 9, 2007, at the age of 93 years.
Mrs. Long had a life well lived. Born in Houston, Texas July 21, 1913 to the late Edward Alexander Martin and Willie Clark Porter, she and her late husband of 44 years, Eugene R. Long, moved to Bay City, Texas to build their lives and raise their family. Her life was filled with the love of her family, her many friends, her home, her garden, and her involvement in the community. Mrs. Long was an active member of the First Christian Church of Bay City and the order of the Eastern Stars. In recent years, after developing Alzheimer's she returned to the Houston area to be with family. She will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved her and the many who passed through her life over her many years.
Mrs. Long is survived by her daughter, Bobbie Jean and son-in-law, J.L. " Corky" Frank of Sugarland, TX, and family and friends including, Jim and wife Patti Frank of Lafayette, LA, Debbie Frank and Terri McCauley of Washington, D.C., Jessie Long, Clint Burchfield, Sue and Hairl Bundick, Robert Earl Long, and Kay and Jerry Campbell, all residing in Texas.
Visitation will be held from 9:00 A.M. Wednesday to 2:00 P.M. Wednesday March 14, 2007 at Taylor Bros. Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday with Rev. Court Riddle officiating. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park in Van Vleck. Arrangements by Taylor Bros. Funeral Home 979-245-4613.
