Obituary
Richard Byron Hamlin, 69, of Palacios passed away April 26, 2011. He was born Dec. 7, 1941 in Palacios, TX to the late Eldon H. Hamlin, Sr. and Dorothy Thompson Hamlin. His son Richard Byron Hamlin, Jr., sister Dorothy Marie Hill and brother Eldon H. Hamlin, Jr. all preceded him in death.
Survivors include daughters Sheila Valcik & husband Gus of Palacios, Vickie Edwards of Palacios & C. J. Wallace & husband Mike of San Angelo; brother Kenneth Hamlin & wife Yvonne of Palacios; 7 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends and relatives from 6PM to 8PM Wednesday at the Palacios Funeral Home. Funeral service will be 2:00 PM Thursday, April 28, 2011 at the Palacios Funeral Home with Chaplain Don Storey officiating. Interment will follow at the Palacios Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Michael Penland, Brandon Edwards, Philip Hamlin, Allen Adams, Albert Gonzales and Eldon Hill.
