Ricarda Rosas Vargas, 96, of Bay City passed away July 3, 2017. She was born May 24, 1921 in Mexico to the late Julian Rosas and Natalia Martinez Rosas.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Miguel C. Vargas in 2009.

Survivors include daughter Maria Delia Jaramillo; sons Victor Vargas and wife Dolores, Rocendo Ismael Vargas and wife Elisia and Juan Manuel Vargas; sisters Juana Rosas Sanchez and Trinidad Rosas Castillo; 15 grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.

Visitation will begin at 9:00 AM Thursday, July 6, 2017 at Taylor Bros. Funeral Home.

A rosary will be recited at 1:30 PM Thursday at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with mass following at 2:00 PM with Msgr. Gerry Cernoch officiating. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Mark Eenink, Ricky Vargas, Rene Vargas, Oscar Jaramillo, Victor Vargas, Jr.,Tony Vargas, Gilbert Vargas and Robert Vargas. Oscar Nino will serve as honorary pallbearer.
