Reyes Vargas, Jr. 23, of Bay City, passed away August 26, 2023. He was born September 18, 1999 in Wharton, TX to Reyes Vargas and Laura Martinez Vargas.

Reyes enjoyed spending time with family, his children, and friends. One of his hobbies was collecting shoes. He was very special to many and he will always be remembered with love and laughter.

Reyes is preceded in death by his father. He is survived by his mother Laura Vargas; daughter Leanna Rey Vargas; son Drake Vargas and sisters Vicky Vargas (Luis), Alexa Vargas, Angelica Vargas and Gabriela Vargas.

A viewing and Rosary will be held at 6:00 pm Thursday, August 31, 2023 at the Vargas home, 2020 Merlin St., Bay City, TX, with Deacon Joe Ramos officiating. Funeral Mass will be 10:00 am Friday, September 1, 2023 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with Fr. Gabriel Espinoza officiant. Interment will follow at Cedarvale Cemetery in Bay City.
