Ray Svetlik, 85, of Bay City passed away July 25, 2007. He and his twin brother, Willie, were born March 19, 1922 in Weimer, Texas to the late Alois and Rosa Macha Svetlik. He was a carpenter for many years, a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church and a veteran of WWII.

Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law Doris "Dee" & Henry L. Waddell of Missouri City and Linda & Jack N. Farmer of Palestine, TX and a number of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Olga Svetlik.

A rosary will be recited at 7:00 PM Friday, July 27, 2007 at Taylor Bros. Funeral Home by Deacon Wally Rodriguez. Mass will be 10:00 AM Saturday, July 28, 2007 at Holy Cross Catholic Church with Rev. Casey Jarzombek officiating. Interment will follow at Cedarvale Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Ted Lynch, Mike Svob, Donald Rohan, Frank Hlozek, Frank Svetlik and James Svetlik.
