Raul G. Garcia, 73, went to be with his Lord on Wednesday, October 26, 2011 in Bay City. Raul was born on July 23, 1938 in Beeville, TX to the late Ramon "Chito" & Estefanita Guerrero Garcia. Raul and his wife Amelia owned and operated the Garcia Café Restaurant. Raul was a loving father, grandfather, and great grandfather. Raul was an avid gardener, supplying his family with fresh vegetables.

He is survived by his son: Johnny Lee Garcia & wife Irma of Bay City; 3 daughters: Stephanie Garcia of Bay City, Irene Payne & husband Ed of Bay City, and Gloria Rodriguez & husband Joe of Lake Jackson; 11 grandchildren: Lisa Vargas & husband Robert, Martha Fletcher & husband Adam, Moses Trevino, Bobby Trevino Jr., Rachel Longoria & husband Ephran, Rebecca Martin, David Jaramillo Jr., Jessica Jaramillo, Zechariah Payne, Skylar Payne, and Rosanna Garcia & husband Rudy; 12 great grandchildren; brother: Ray Garcia Sr. of Beeville, TX; 2 sisters: Dora DeLeon of San Diego, TX and Mary Elva Garcia of Beeville, TX. Raul was preceded in death by his parents, brother Ricard Garcia, and wife Amelia Medina Garcia in 1998.

Visitation will begin at 9:00 AM Sunday, October 30, 2011 at the funeral home. The Rosary will be recited at 7:00 PM Sunday at Taylor Bros. Funeral Home. The Mass will be held 10:00 AM Monday, October 31, 2011 at Holy Cross Catholic Church with Father Greg Korenek officiating. Interment will follow at Cedarvale Cemetery in Bay City. Pallbearers will be: Ray Garcia Jr., Zach Payne, Randy Medina, Cornelio Medina, Robert Vargas, and Rudy Garcia.
