Ramon Montalvo, 94, of Wadsworth passed away February 12, 2014. He was born February 27, 1919 in Bay City, TX to the late Felipe Montalvo and Eulalia Vasquez Montalvo. He served his country in the US Army during WWII.

His wife Maria Delores Montalvo and son Roy Montalvo preceded him in death. Survivors include daughters Maria McLain (Cecil) of El Campo, Juanita McLain (Robin) of Bay City, Susie Gussman of Wadsworth and Mona Lechuga (Ernest) of Bay City; sister Juanita Montalvo of Galveston; brother Fernando Montalvo of Corpus Christi; grandchildren Aaron, Laylia & Beth McLain, Venus Smith, Robin McLain, Jr., Steven McLain, Vanessa McLain, Roy McLain, Virginia Sanchez and Andrew Medina; 22 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandson.

A rosary will be recited at 6:00 PM Friday, Feb. 14, 2014 at Taylor Bros. Funeral Home. Funeral service will be 10:00 AM Saturday, Feb. 15, 2014 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with Msgr. Gerry Cernoch officiating. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Oscar Ramos, Robin McLain, Jr., Aaron McLain, Andrew Medina, Christian McLain and Rick Ramos.
