Ramiro "Ray" Lozano, 62, of Southaven, Mississippi passed away Dec. 9, 2008 in Memphis, TN. He was born Aug. 5, 1946 in Houston, TX to the late Genovevo & Lillie Escobedo Lozano. He was a former resident of Matagorda County, served in the US Army, and worked as a supervisor for Global Aviation Services.

He was preceded in death by two brothers Robert Lozano & Gene Lozano. Survivors include his wife Maria Elda Lozano; daughters Denise Ann Pernisi & husband Richard of Richmond, TX, Angela Rae Lozano of Sugarland & Ann Marie Liguez of Houston; brothers Joe Lozano & Juan Lozano both of Houston; sister Lillie Rivera & husband Isaac of Houston; grandchildren Zoe Denet Lozano of Richmond, Ashley Marie Liguez, Abel S. Liguez, Jr., & Anthony S. Liguez all of Houston and great granddaughter Jescie Marie Pena.

A rosary will be recited at 7:00 PM Sunday, Dec. 14, 2008 at Taylor Bros. Funeral Home. Mass will be 10:00 AM Monday, Dec. 15, 2008 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with Rev. Gerry Cernoch officiating. Pallbeaers will be Louis Longoria, Ray Sexton, Noe Rodriguez, Paul Gonzalez, Scotty Hahn, and Anthony Liguez. Honorary Pallbearers will be Jeff Flores, Brandon Huddleston, and Abel Liguez Jr.. He will be interred at the Houston National Cemetery 2:15 PM Monday, Dec. 15, 2008.
