Ralph Castillo Hawkins, 83, of Lake Jackson, TX passed away May 13, 2019. He was born August 3, 1935 in Victoria, TX to Fred and Narissa Hernandez Hawkins.

Ralph grew up as a cowboy in Victoria. He was a heavy equipment operator for many years in Matagorda and Brazoria counties. Known to many as "9 fingers", he was an awesome man who was the rock of his family.  He loved fishing, playing dominoes, telling stories, making jokes, watching westerns, the Houston Texans, and was an all around good man.

Ralph is preceded in death by his parents; 6 brothers, and daughter Margarita Hawkins Perez. He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Margaret Reyes Hawkins; sons Ralph Jr. (Patsy), Robert (Yvette), Rick (Tina), Danny (Anissa) & Mike, all of Bay City, TX;  daughters Anna (Bob) of Haileyville, OK, Terry (Joe) of Tivoli, TX, and Virginia of Oyster Creek, TX; 24 grandchildren, 60 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends and relatives 5:00-7:00pm Wednesday, May 15 at Taylor Bros. Funeral Home. There will be a Rosary at 6:30pm that evening. Services are 10:00am Thursday, May 16, 2019 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Bay City, with Fr. Gabriel Espinosa officiating. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park in Van Vleck. Pallbearers are Oscar Tabora, Joe Oros, Christopher Garcia, Bobby Baldwin III, George Perez Jr., and Jacob Hawkins.
