Obituary

Priscilla Hurta Wayman, 71, of Bay City passed away September 16, 2014. She was born October 28, 1942 in Bay City, TX to the late Frank Joe Hurta, Sr. and Edith Unez Richardson Hurta.

She was preceded in death by her husband Dr. George W. Wayman. She is survived by her children Terri Jean Hebert McKinley and Shelton Lee Hebert, Jr.; grandchildren Christopher McKinley, Andrew McKinley, Anna Hebert and Shelton Lee Hebert III; sister Susie Hamlin; brothers Frank Joe Hurta, Jr. & wife D'Ann, Bill Hurta & wife Anna and Sam Hurta and by family friend and caregiver Linda Henderson.

Priscilla was known as "The Candy Maker" with her specialty being divinity. Her candy brought joy to many people around the world. She even sent candy to our soldiers.

Priscilla was also an avid gardener and had the greenest thumb around. She took such pride in her flowers and plants in her yard and always wanted to be outside in her special garden.

A memorial service honoring her life will begin at 3:00 PM Sunday at her home, 2701 Del Monte, Bay City, TX 77414.
