Phyllis Jane Tobey Carr, 80, passed away Monday, September 11, 2006 at her home in Bay City. She was born January 26, 1926 in Lakewood, OH to the late Dayton & Elva Tobey. Phyllis was a life long resident of Bay City, a Member of The First United Methodist Church, devoted volunteer for The Crisis Center, an avid Bingo & Bridge player, and The Ultimate Astros Fan.
She is survived by her daughter: Victoria R. Carr of Bay City; sisters: Marilyn Zednik of Brook Park, OH, and Pat Kurtz & husband Wally of Gross Point Woods, MI; sister-in-law: Lilly Carr of Bay City; grandchildren: David & Allison Rohan of Bay City; special friend: Joslyn Crump of Bay City; and many nieces & nephews. Mrs. Carr was preceded in death by her husband: F. Ray Carr; brother-in-law: Lee K. Carr; beloved niece: Nancy Zednik Ashcraft; and beloved nephew: Sidney L. Carr.
A Funeral Service will be held 2:00 PM Friday, September 15, 2006 at Taylor Bros. Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Pauline Harvey officiating. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park in Van Vleck. Arrangements with Taylor Bros. Funeral Home (979) 245-4613.
