Philip A. Warchesik, 75, of Palacios passed away April 9, 2014. He was born November 5, 1938 in Anderson, TX to the late Walter Warchesik and Josephine Hetmanik Warchesik. He was formerly of Houston but spent the last 10 years in his beloved Palacios. Philip (Donnie) loved both the town of Palacios and the people who live here. Donnie and his wife Sandra owned and operated the Palacios Antiques and Resale Shop where Donnie delighted in being the official "greeter." He enjoyed nothing more than talking with customers and will always be remembered for his easy banter, quick wit and love of joking with customers and friends.
Survivors include his wife of 18 years, Sandra Moran Warchesik; son Curtis Warchesik of Palacios; step children Claudie Holstein of New Caney, TX, Kelly Fred Holstein of Yukon, OK and Micki Lynne Holstein of Palacios; grandchildren Jeffrey Frierson, Norman Michael Johnson, Glenda Cay Nelson, Fred Holstein, Daniel Martinez, Sandra Holstein and Claudia Holstein and his former wife Dorothy Warchesik.
The family will receive friends and relatives from 5pm until 7pm Thursday at the Palacios Funeral Home. Funeral service will be 2:00 PM Friday, April 11, 2014 at the Palacios Funeral Home with Rev. Don Storey officiating. Interment will follow at the Palacios Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Norman Michael Johnson, Jeffrey Frierson, Curtis Warchesik, Kelly Holstein, Claudie Holstein and Curtis Nelson.Visits: 0
