Petra B. DeLeon, 65, of Bay City passed away February 1, 2013. She was born November 22, 1947 to the late Juan and Gregoria Benavides. She worked as a carrier to the Bay City Tribune for several years.

Survivors include her husband of 44 years, Guadalupe DeLeon of Bay City; daughters Vivian Flores (Ruben A.) of Bay City, Monica DeLeon of Bay city and Leticia Deleon (Jose T. Jimenez) of Bay City; son John Anthony DeLeon (Melissa) of Lake Jackson; sister Mary Reyes (Julio) of Sargent; grandchildren Anthony DeLeon, Angelica DeLeon, Amber Flores, Chasidy Flores, and Jose Jayasi, Eric & Erica Jayasi and 5 great grandchildren.

A rosary will be recited at 6:30 PM Tuesday, February 5, 2013 at Taylor Bros. Funeral Home. Mass will be 10:00 AM Wednesday at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with Msgr. Gerry Cernoch officiating. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park in Van Vleck. Pallbearers will be Johnny Reyes, Danny Perez, Arthur Benavides, John Henry Benavides, Juan Manuel Benavides and Pablo Torres.
