Pete David Castaneda, 55, of Bay City, Texas, passed away on February 12, 2017 in Florence, KY. He was born in Bay City, Texas to Enas, Sr. and Lydia Castaneda on June 19th, 1961.
David graduated from Tidehaven High School. He worked as a Swing Bridge Operator for 13 years. David enjoyed spending time doing wood crafts and mechanic work, but what he loved doing the most was fishing. He said he had the perfect job working as a swing bridge operator. If you wanted to know if the fish were biting, he would be the one to know.
David Castaneda was preceded in death by his father, Enas Castaneda, Sr.
He is survived by his mother Lydia Castaneda of Markham; wife, Bonnie R. Brown and step-sons Shad Brown and Seth Kirby of Kentucky; sisters, Cindy Castaneda (Bennie Boone) of Markham; Deborah Castaneda Griggs (Chuck) of Cleveland, Texas; Mary Ann Medina (Pedro, Sr.) of Markham; brothers Richard Castaneda of Markham; Johnny Castaneda of Clute; Joe Castaneda (Darlene) of Wadsworth; Enas Castaneda, Jr. (Belle) of Markham and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He also loved, and will be missed by, his two little Shih tzus, Sullivan and Sadie.
Visitation will be held at Taylor Bros. Funeral Home on Friday, February 17, 2017 from 5-7 PM. Funeral services will be held at First Baptist Church Markham on Saturday, February 18th, 2017 at 10 AM with Pastor Damon Rambo officiating.
