Obituary

Peggy Lawson Pittman, 66, of Boling died Oct. 9, 2008. She was born May 3, 1942 in Houston, TX to J. Sewell & Margaret Hill Lawson. She attended WCTC A & I in Kingsville; worked as librarian & substitute teacher in Bay City and Van Vleck ISD's & owned and operated Pittman's Variety Store in Palacios and Pittman's Grocery in Boling.

Her father and her husband Charlie D. Pittman both preceded her in death. Survivors include her mother Margaret Lynn of Palacios; daughter Sissy P. & Brett S. Taylor; son Charles Luther & wife Rhonda Pittman; grandchildren Nicklos, Roxanne & Colton Pittman and Kacy & Kory Taylor and step-children Rick Daughtery & Karen Daughtery Pierce and their families.

The family will receive friends & relatives from 6pm to 8pm Friday at the Palacios Funeral Home. Funeral service will be 2:00 PM Saturday, Oct. 11, 2008 at the First Presbyterian Church with the Rev.'s Andy & Janell Blair officiating. Interment will follow at the Palacios Cemetery. Pallbearers will be John Toellner, Charles Taylor, J. W. Luedcke, Jimmy Neeley, James Janeck & Dan Tucker.
