Pedro Tovar, 75, of Markham, TX passed away Dec. 11, 2009. He was born Nov. 19, 1934 in Woodsboro, TX to the late Pedro Matias and Paula Maria Luna Tobar. He was a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church and worked for Celanese for many years.

Survivors include his wife Irene Davila Tobar of Markham; daughter Linda Tovar & husband Isabel of El Campo; sons Pedro Tobar, Jr. of Miami Beach, FL, Carmen Tobar & wife Antonia of Beaumont, Ray Adam Tobar & wife Belinda of Markham & Andrew Tobar & wife Marcie of Bay City; sisters Matilda Campos of Refugio, Abelia Lopez of Refugio, Consuelo T. Resendez of Wharton & Gloria Saucedo of Dallas; brothers Andres Tovar of Blessing, Sammy L. Tobar of San Marcos & Ruben L. Tovar of Alice and 10 grandchildren. Two sisters and four brothers preceded him in death.

A rosary will be recited at 7:30 PM Monday, Dec. 14, 2009 at the Palacios Funeral Home. Mass will be 10:00 AM Tuesday, Dec. 15, 2009 at St. Anthony's Catholic Church with Rev. Charles Dowomoh officiating. Interment will follow at the Palacios Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Freddie Tovar, David Escobar Tobar, Pedro Tobar, Andrew Tobar, Carmen Tobar & John Resendez. Andres Tovar & Sammy Tobar will be honorary pallbearers.
