Pedro Aguilera, 78, of Van Vleck passed away June 27, 2008. He was born January 31, 1930 in Mexico to the late Jose and Herminia Calderon Aguilera. He was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church and worked all of his life as a ranch hand.
Survivors include his wife, Lenor Aguilera of Van Vleck; daughters Herminia Recendez of Markham, Lupe Bowan of Hampton, VA, Connie Kelsey of Katy, Theresa Cowan of Bay City, Mary Luera of Katy & Alicia Mendoza of Rhode Island; sons Pedro Aguilera, Jr. and Joe Aguilera both of Katy, Gilbert Aguilera of Rock Island, TX & Paul Aguilera of Houston; step daughters Chris Clements of Van Vleck & Isa Melancon of Baton Rouge, LA; step-son Dale Trevino of Van Vleck; sister Cata Aguilera of Mexico; twenty four grandchildren, six great grandchildren and seven step-grandchildren.
A rosary will be recited at 7:00 PM Monday, June 30, 2008 at Taylor Bros. Funeral Home. Mass will be 10:00 AM Tuesday, July 1, 2008 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with Rev. Gerry Cernoch officiating. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park in Van Vleck. Pallbearers will be Corey & Colby Kelsey, Rickey Aguilera, Stewart Hutson, Darryl Davis Andrew Aguilera, Aflonso Luera & Chuck Cowan.
