Paul S. Lowery, 58, of Van Vleck, passed away on Monday, April 29, 2013 at his residence. Paul was born in Gatesville, Texas on January 15, 1955 to parents James Elmo and Gladys Marie Shirley Lowery. Paul was a long time member of First Baptist Church of Van Vleck and was the owner and operator of Lowery Tire Center in Bay City.

His parents preceded him in death. Paul is survived by his brothers and their wives, Mike and Missy Lowery of West Columbia and Clint and Becky Lowery of Gonzales, and by a sister and her husband, Susie and Larry Matchett of Van Vleck. Numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews and many friends also survive him.

A time of visitation will be held at the Bay City Funeral Home on Wednesday, May 1, at 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 2, at 10:00 AM at Calvary Baptist Church in Bay City with his brother Clint Lowery officiating. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial park in Van Vleck. Pallbearers will be: Stephen Matchett, Matt Matchett, James Lowery, Heath Lowery, Ralph Cole, John Ashcraft, Dan Pustka, Danny Shindler, Danny Andel, and Chris Medina.
